There are a couple of other interesting links on this
site which perhaps I should have pointed out. They do
seem to be looking for more EDA tools, and vendors to
support. In fact, Protel99 does appear in the list of
tools on the request_new_tool page.

I also had the thought that if it is, as you say, "a huge database of
parts", maybe someone (here or at Protel?) might be able to write a
native Protel server to more directly talk with/to them?
