No. I think it is easiest (aka least confusing) for users to be prompted with two simple questions: 1. Do you want to install all the extra software, or just the programs that replace MS-DOS 2. Do you want to install source code too? That gives you four possible outcomes: 1. everything, no source code 2. everything, with source code 3. Base, no source code 4. Base, with source code At the risk of giving a "640k should be enough for everyone"-style quote, I think these four options are sufficient for a FreeDOS 1.2 distribution. The "Advanced" install that you describe is a neat feature, but I wonder how many people will choose this? I think less than 1%. We could poll this group as power users on freedos-devel, and I still think it would be a small number who actually use the "pick which packages to install or not install."
