Well, but depending on the environment, it might not be "the default",
the interrupt can be hooked into  and chained by other software, for
example in virtual environments or when some multi-tasking software is
involved. INT28h is always the proper and preferred way to do this. If
it doesn't work for you, then there might be an other problem at hand...
