That was 1.0. However, it really only had BASE. The other disc was BASE + SOURCES. https://www.ibiblio.org/pub/micro/pc-stuff/freedos/files/distributions/1.0/ <https://www.ibiblio.org/pub/micro/pc-stuff/freedos/files/distributions/1.0/> > > You could for example make a separate download for "full choice of > compilers and emulators" while keeping the 10 smallest compilers > and everything else on the normal ISO for every FreeDOS fan :-) > > The actual "replicates MS DOS" subset is so small that it > fits on 2 to 3 diskettes with suitable compression, so it > would be sort of anticlimactic to have only that on a CD. > > Cheers, Eric The minimal BASE is rough 5-6MB compressed without sources. https://www.ibiblio.org/pub/micro/pc-stuff/freedos/files/distributions/1.3/previews/1.3-rc3/ <https://www.ibiblio.org/pub/micro/pc-stuff/freedos/files/distributions/1.3/previews/1.3-rc3/> The 1.3-RC3 Light USB, is 20mb (Base + Source Only) The 1.3-RC3 Full USB, is 608mb (Base + Source or Full, plus Extras + All Sources) The 1.3-RC3 Floppy Only zip file 5.4mb, But, yes, it kinda feels wasteful to burn 6, 10 or 20mb and use an entire CD. > > > > _______________________________________________ > Freedos-devel mailing list > Freedos-devel@lists.sourceforge.net > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/freedos-devel
