Its not fundamental. Fundemental means that the vast majority of freenet users need
this
feature. They do not.
Just because a feature is small and simple to implement does not mean it isn't bloat.
All of the tiny features in MS Word aren't complex, but few of them are ever used, and
there are lots
of them. That constitutes bloat.
