You mean the latest one? It depends. 1.7.4 is the latest update to the 
1.7 series. Rel-1 svn is a new branch taken from the 1.7 series code 
with parts of 2.x - kaa.notifier ported. See post 'Release 1 svn updates 
and future releases' for more details. 1.7.4 will probably be more 
stable but rel-1 will become the 1.8 release and should be reasonably 
stable (I use it every day) and it would be nice to have more users 
testing it.
