I've not used this plug-in yet but have you checked that you have set up the ALSA_MIXER variables in you local_conf.py. Use: freevo plugins -i alsamixer I assume that freevo has speakers connected to the Freevo box and that you have *not* connected Freevo to a AV receiver.
