Anything like a SecurID?
Organizations that use SecurID may prepend or append a password to a token provided by a device. The token changes every few seconds.

CryptoCards (the brand) are different in that the password is set when the device is issued. That way there is less opportunity to intercept the password part. One plus of SecurID is that they are small enough to carry on a keyring. CryptoCards are like thick credit cards -- too thick to put in a wallet, really.
