I've been doing CF for 5 years now also do ASP.
I've just invested time into learning JSP as it gives me a great primer and
access into core JAVA.
I just search job bulletins around the world to ascertain what to learn next
or to drop.

Subject: OT: Your Next Language
Really OT, but I am at the point where I need to learn
another server-side language. I was thinking of
picking up PHP, as I came into CF from the HTML route
and could really use the background a scripting
language can give me. I also like everything I have
seen on this list about using the fusebox method with
PHP.
What I want to know is what all of you Fuseboxers
think is the best server-side language to be learning
now. Java, PHP or ASP? Which one will still be around
in 10 years and is worth my time to learn? Which one
uses basic principles that will help me learn other
languages? What are you learning now and why? Etc...
I don't mean to start a war with this, so please do
not shoot! Let's keep this as informative and logical
as we can please =;>
TIA,
Nathan
