Hi!

ClusterXL Load Sharing is a configurable feature. You can use either Multicast
or unicast modes.

Please refer to CheckPoint_NGX_ClusterXL_User_Guide.pdf for more information.

Subject: [FW-1] Load Sharing Theory Question...

Hi Guys,

I am testing FW1 in a load-sharing / high availability configuration using
ClusterXL and also Floodgate for our company. Let me tell you, at the moment
ClusterXL is very cool, very very robust ;)

Anyways, here is my question:

My technical director has asked for an explanation describing how FW1's
load-sharing determine's which gateway will handle a connection? Is it a
simple round-robin, does it factor in the CPU load, network load of each
cluster member etc.

Thanks Guys!
  Chris
