I'm running a TiBook 550mHz at the moment and regularly sleep it for
hours at a time (overnight). I've not had this problem, nor did I see
it in my Pismo. I'm running 10.2.4. First thing I would try is updating
to 10.2.4. There were a few bugs squashed in the last couple upgrades,
this might be one of them.

good luck.
