Hi!

My PowerBook Wallstreet has this classic problem. I need to prop up the a/c plug so it exerts pressure, otherwise the battery won't charge, and even if the Control Strip shows that the PB is taking its power from the wall, the battery is the one that it really working, discharging normally.
Now I have to prop the charger plug at a very steep angle, before it needed just a bit of pressure to show the "lighting bolt", now it needs a lot and to be "just so".
I need some recommendation: Some shop that can fix this at a reasonable cost. I don't want to pay $85 an hour, for a "two hour job, at least", plus the cost of the needed pieces of hardware. In other words, more than $200 US dlls. It is NOT economically sound.
I figure than even with shipping charges, I can have a more "cheap", well-done job.
So, anyone cares to recommend some Mac Guru somewhere?
And if this is off-topic, then e-mail me off list.
TIA and best regards.
