Almost sounds like everything has been set to Infrared, but I don't have an Airport Base Station so I can't comment on that possibility. If you haven't checked the Pismo's settings to make sure it's not on infrared, might be worth looking into. I know, it sounds stupid, but I've been stupified by simpler solutions ...
Other than that, I'm at a loss.
