I'm looking in to buying an external monitor to use w/my dual USB iBook. I bought the 12" iBook for portability and now find I'm using it more like a desktop computer. I'm not ready to buy a new iBook w/larger screen, so am wanting to hook up an external monitor for when I use the whole setup as a desktop computer.

Experiences w/this? I've searched the internet and come up w/mostly the Apple specs and Knowledge Base articles.

Would like some true-life experiences, pros and cons, etc. Is there any way to 'turn off' the iBook screen when using an external monitor?

Am new to the list, just joined to find answers to this question.

Thanks in advance...
