Do you have an ATI Card or a NVIDIA one?
I undersand that ATI uses another channel for the
Video.
That's why you can't take a snapshot picture of a
movie. If you remove the DVD the picture will became a
grey or brown box.
VLC uses the normal video.
Only ATI Cards have this problem.
