Wow, that's a might big leap without knowing what kind of CDs (are 
they be Windows CDs?) and if all of the correct drivers are installed 
and active. I even recall a few months ago that some newly released 
audio CDs had a copy-protection scheme that caused all kinds of 
havoc. I haven't heard much about it lately, so I don't know what the 
status is on that front.

The first thing I would try is to put in an Apple System install CD, 
which is bootable and see if it works. If it does, then check to see 
that you have all of the right CD drivers, then see if you can 
determine what kind of CDs they are.

BTW it would help to know what OS are you using on the Wallstreet.
