I guess I'd throw in my two bits in this thread. There hasn't been a publicly announced virus on the Macintosh platform in over 3 years. This doesn't mean that we will never see one, but it does mean that the Mac in general is going to be much safer than a PC. . .for now. I custom install wireless networks for large corporations and, by request, have installed more and more Macs integrated into these networks which are to handle all critical data; i.e., account numbers, personal data, etc. I've been doing this for over 2 years now and while I was excited at first, the downside is that the more companies that move to Mac, so will the virus writers as well. Thought I'd give my two cents. . .
