Other than the lab virus some company invented that cannot re-distribute itself and isn't in the public anyway, what viruses for OSX are you talking about?

The actual context was:
1) There are no OS X viruses, so no you don't need anti virus

Note that word "NO".

And, as Al Poulin reminded us, there are umpteen MS macro type viruses that can damage files on a Mac... His point is a good one: If you use MS products you should use an anti-virus.
