Hi All,

I've been trying to add RAM (Crucial, 512MB, 2700 DDR SODIMMM) to my Al PowerBook G4. This was bought from a store in FT. Lauderdale. When I tried to boot, no go. I replaced my original RAM and all was fine. As i had to leave the States, I had a friend do the return for me. He said the same RAM was put into another similar PowerBook and worked. Anyway, on my instructions, he had it replaced. I got the replacement today and had the same problem. The book will not boot with the new RAM. Either alone, or with one of the original 256 sticks.

Is there a trick, special method, to installing the RAM? I did try to use a bit of force but still no luck.

Alan
