Ouchy.

Personally I think this benchmark is a load of balls as far as the PCI
cards are concerned. It is using a G4/1GHz PowerMac as a testbed which
is not a reliable platform to test PCI graphics cards. "What drivel is
this boy spewing" I hear you cry - well the AGP G4s are not blessed
with amazingly fast PCI slots over all. IMG found there was a drop in
performance between even the 33MHz PCI slots in the G3/B&W / Yikes G4
and a G4 AGPs. Add to that that us plum tucker B&W G3 and Yikes G4
owners have a nice cushy 66MHz PCI slot to play with and you see that
it's not quite right. I am now more under the impression the Radeon
7000 was designed *specifically* for use in the PCI Aqua PowerMacs,
rather than newer machines or Old World PowerMacs. If you take 1
benchmark on barefeets.com, done on a machine the Radeon 7000 isn't
designed to be used in for a primary card, as being conclusive evidence
(good thought they generally are) then you need to do better research.
