After installing the OWC G4 500 in my Blue & White G3 400 last night, I had several hours of a wholebuncha speed until I finally called it a night. This morning, however, was another story. I've been plagued with programs unexpectedly quitting and what I think are kernel panics (everything goes blue and eventually the Finder comes back but everything else has quit or I get the grayed down screen with the box saying I have to restart by holding down the power key which never works).
While I was more than a little competent troubleshooting OS 9, I'm a little lost on where to start tracking down these crashes in OS 10.2.3. Are there, for instance, a set of preferences I should trash? Also, now that I have a loose G3 processor sitting around, is there anything I can do with it?
