It doesn't show up when I run the Disk First Aid, doesn't it have to be mounted first? Only thing that shows up is the CD.
"mounted" .... you mean visible in the Finder? No.
Disk First Aid can access drives as long as the partition map is intact. If the map is corrupted, it gives up.
Disk Warrior or Norton Disk Doctor might get farther - but I doubt it. They don't do well with corrupted partition maps either.
