Just had to chime in on this one.  The 604e was the rough equiv to a PII, 
doubling its clock speed.  So if you had a PowerMac 7300/200, that was roughly 
equivalent to a PII 400.  (Ah the days of the MHz Myth)  The 68040 was the 
equiv to the 486, and the 601 was the rough equiv to a Pentium I (minus the 
math problems).
