will be seeing macs going for comparable PC prices. Are possibly going to be in for a disappointment. Like i said, it's my humble opinion. But with Apples record doing it on their own. I fear we won't be seeing the price drop we are all hoping for. But then again who knows eh! This time next year we could have a new version of the Mac Mini going for £150-200! >> Well, i hope the Mac Minis price to become more comparable to certain Dells. So at least knock off $100. And I expect Apples high end computers to be comparable to high end PCs. In other words, I consider Apples computers to be server quality so I expect the price to be comparable to a PC server. Right now, you can get a 64 bit Athlon system (3000, so I guess like 2.4GHz?), in a fancy case, with 1GB RAM, 128MB VRAM, not sure about the rest of the specs but im sure its at least a DVD/CDRW, and a large SATA HD, for $1000. If Apple sold a tower computer for $1000 Id be happy. And think about it, Apples would really no longer be more expensive than PCs, and that would bring in a lot of new customers.
