Joy If I'v said it once - I' said it a hundred times - RAM sticks can not be taken lightly - they are the thinking end of your Mac - and they cost nothing when they work and to much when they dont!
Most suppliers do not offer "Maded for Mac" products - but Apple does has it's standards - put RAM sticks in your Mac that do not meet these standards and guess what - you paid too much! SOLUTION - trash what you got and find RAM DIRECT", it's a small company made up of x-apple folks - mostly engineers who at one time of the other wrote apple's standards - they know what you needed - and they are reasonable in there pricing - generally Ram Direct cost no more than the so called value brands! OK go girl and do what is right for you Mac - it will love for it! rich PS Let me know how everthing turns out - and yes I didn't mean to sound so trashee. --- Joy Freeman <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Okay, I ordered some new RAM from OWC--six 256M > sticks, because I need three > for my B&W G3 (for a total of four, including one > 256M I already have) and > my parents wanted three to max out the memory on > their PC, which also uses > the same kind. > > I prepared to test the memory using the sandwich > method described on this > list by Jeff Walther, using the 64M Samsung and 256M > Kingston DIMMs that > were in the G3 when I bought it.
