Thanks, Bruce. I went ahead with a clean install. I suppose I should have waited for some help to come like your suggestion. Sounds a whole lot simpler and faster than a clean install. Now I need to go into my hard drive and delete the previous system folder. I used to do this with no problem in OS9, I hope I can do it Panther OK.
Kathi snip So you don't know any of the passwords in the keychain? Start Keychain Access in the Utilities folder, delete the keychain 'login'.
