Just curious how much faster this '110' model is - compared to her
current drive.
The Pioneer 105 DVD-RW drive takes apox 12-15 min to burn a full
DVD disk using DVD x 4 media. So if it takes over night don't blame
it on the DVD burner! Software or a too slow CPU is the likely
reason. So buying the fastest DVD burner isn't going to be the fix
your hoping for. Will S

She uses iDVD & Tiger. So why can't I blame the drive?
OK, I exaggerated with the word 'overnighter'. It still takes HOURS
to burn one DVD.
One thing I could have her change next time she burns DVD - to choose
the max rated speed.
I was told (or read somewhere) that selecting a speed LESS than max
gives you the best results and
minimizes corruption. Did I get this right? Go ahead and laugh. It's
good for your heath.... ;)
