Opening the Firewire enclosure (a LaCie D2) and exchanging drives
was simple enough, but the new drive does not show up in System
Profiler or Disk Utility.
If you put in an IDE drive of any kind, it's fine, more than likely
it's an issue of the master/slave settings. Look at the old drive and
set the jumpers to be the same on the new drive. Also make sure the
cable is seated properly and the power cable is connected.
