When I open any of my old BBEdit files (from 9) the type is too small
on my screen on my Quicksilver with a LCD 20" screen. I have migrated
things to a X BBEdit with no improvement in this particular respect.
Sure, I have altered the size of the fonts, but they all look a bit
s**h** (an Australian expression), not nice to read and html and css
files can get fiddly and this is important. My Mail text at Geneva 14
is brilliant on my screen and I want like this
My question, does anyone actually know how to get the same control
over BBEdit?
I will put it another way. This text right here (on Mail) looks
great. When I cut and paste into BBEdit, it looks not good. Readable,
sure, but cheap! Not as "bold", as smooth, a bit jaggedy I think,
though it is not gross (the overall effect is unsatisfactory).
I have looked at prefs but can't seem to see what gives, is it some
font smoothing thing? Is the prgm not alive to the system X font
settings? I have tried setting the font smoothing in the BBEdit prefs
on and off: "off" makes things even worse!
