Spotlight, like Sherlock, is only your friend now and then. It's one
of those technologies that indexes your HD volumes in the background.
And it's admin interface is broken (see the url below). I find on my
B&W and our 1.5 GHz PB it's fast to search, but when it's indexing,
it slows all disk i/o down considerably.
