I've been using the ministack 2.5 with a 1.5TB SATA Seagate drive in it for CCC backups for awhile now, without issue.
I believe they suggested a particular partitioning scheme to forego any issues with size ... IIRC, less than 1TB for the largest.
May have changed with a later firmware. Got it from owcomputing on or about August 2009.
