Sounds to me like miscommunication and misunderstanding, and it should be 
able to be worked out if you both step back and take a look at the situation 
from the other side of the coin?  Part of the problem may be the way a 
screen reader puts inflection, or does not inflect, where it should or 
should not.  HTH.
