regards, Joseph
Hi, I'm writing this as a follow up to Julian's earlier email about the
proposed GSoC work. I'm a friend of his, and recently it's come to my
attention that he will not be able to participate in GSoC due to
personal reasons. Prior to this, I was looking for an organization to
work with for GSoC, and was referred to gcc by Julian. Given he is not
able to participate as mentioned earlier, may I take his place? Like
him, I am also mainly a Windows based developer, and a big user of gcc,
so I have a vested interest in improving the compiler's (And linker's)
support for Windows as well, particularly in the area of Link Time
Optimization bugs that make the mode unsuitable for proper use on
Windows, but also on other potentially missing features, or ones that do
not work correctly on Windows. I am a new face here with regards to
mailing list appearances, but have actually been a silent lurker both
here and on the gcc repository. I just thought I'd make my introduction
here before I actually send in any drafts related to GSoC, if I am to
take over this particular proposal.
