Edmund, You ever look into doing any of that in matlab? There is the matlab compiler which would make your code portable (and if I am not mistaken, no licensing needed for the client, depending on the licensing terms for redistributing?). Just a thought.... I know a bunch of developers fluent in Matlab stuff if you want to compare notes with someone. And we do lots of FFTs, etc.
