Rob, Bill Giving J file system permission in Android fixed the Package Manager problem. Had to reboot my phone though, before the permission would take. The process on Android 7 (Nougat) is: Settings/Apps/J Android/Storage - then flip switch to ON. Then reboot.
Thanks for the help. This process probably should be noted in the Jandroid wiki guide. Also I have been unable to get Michael Dykman's JKeyboard to show up in the J session, though it is selected in setup: Setup/Languages & Keyboards/Virtual Keyboard/JKeyboard -Switch is ON Any suggestions?
