I have a Pixel 4a phone with android 11, and I have the same issue as Brian
Bambrough.
There is no "Unknown Sources" under Security.
After some Googling, I found that BGR has a nice explanation on how to
install apk's on Android 11:

I haven't tried this yet, but I'll report back after I do.
