I have Android 11 on a Pixel 3 phone. The way apps are sideloaded has
completely changed. There is no longer an Unknown Sources under Security.
Could you post instructions on how to install J on my phone?

j902 no longer requesting storage permission. It stores files under its
private folder, you can check the locations of folder by typing eg
home folder:
jpath '~/'
user folder:
jpath '~user'
or typing
SystemFolders_j_
Storage permission not required but the private folder will be removed if
JAndroid is uninstalled.

All of my issues may have been explained somewhere, but I didn't notice any
install notes so I resolved the issues I encountered myself.
1) I've been looking for an Android 902 release for some time, but it
wasn't until I read about 903 Beta that I knew I had to download instead of
using Check New Version.
2) Installing the .apk seemed to work until I noticed I couldn't see my
files. I found the
Settings -> App permissions -> Storage
issue years ago, so rembering it again this time was easy.
3) I have changes to
config/base.cfg
and replacing it with my 901 version required my adding the lines:
TermEmu=: ''
TermEmu_nox=: ''
to case. 'Android'
