I have two configuration problems. One, the /etc/init.d/proftpd start-stop script only errors (e.g. [!!] instead of [ok]).
Two, I want to be able to login via ftp.joseph-a-nagy-jr.us, yet there is no option to have proftpd to listen to that url (port not included, of course). I'm looking to set up a private, authorized user only ftp server. Should I just use mod_ftpd (Apache2) instead? -- Joseph A.
