*QGIS 1.6.0*
  HTTP compression - *Yes*

QGIS was very easy to download and install and looks nice to use.

I am looking for a larger WFS dataset - at least 10,000 points, hopefully
more - to see difference in time retrieving a layer using zipped HTTP vs
unzipped HTTP.
If anyone can give me a URL that would be good.
