Btw, this is imho also in violation of
http://geoserver.org/display/GEOS/GSIP+77+-+Time+boxed+release+model,
which included the following section:
--------------
Stable branch changes that can get in with a solid PSC/PMC vote (e.g., no
doubts or concerns about them):
- promotion of extensions to core (requires GSIP anyways)
- core changes that are unlikely to affect the stability of the upcoming
release (cautious with those, if the PSC is ok better land them right after
a release to get as a large window for testing as possible)
- backport of larger changes that have proven to be working well on
trunk for an extended period of time
--------------
As I said, keep it there since you already went for the trouble of
committing it,
however I'm wondering if I should step down as the referencing maintainer,
in a week two other PSC members though that double checking with the
maintainer
was not necessary before going ahead, so either I'm either not doing a very
good job
there and/or people think that we vote project management rules just as a
pastime and
it's ok to break them as they see fit.
Cheers
Andrea
