It is very important to make sure that each project in the list has a developer who is prepared to sign up to mentor it. There are two reasons for this. First, because it is a waste of time and effort for students to apply for a project that nobody is prepared to mentor. Second, because I am afraid that some of the proposals are actually ill-conceived, and that will become apparent because no developer will be willing to mentor them in the form as written. -- Bill
