ivm.camp, Good luck finding lenses manufactured in the United States -- at any price. Essilor has 15 plants worldwide and only 2 of those facilities are in the United States. It's unclear whether they manufacture lenses in either of those US facilities.
The fact is, the vast majority of lenses are made in Asia -- along with televisions, furniture, clothing, cell phones, coffee makers, luggage, you name it... and lenses have been made in Asia and Europe longer than the ever-lengthening list of other products. The lenses in this case were definitely made incorrectly. Progressives online are by no means a scam, but you may have better luck with the more reputable stores and I'm not sure I'd do a first pair of progressives online. - Ira On Wed, Feb 18, 2009 at 11:20 PM, Chuck Knight <[email protected]>wrote: > Several people at my church are wearing progressives that were purchased > online, and have no trouble with them whatsoever.
