I have a huge melon and thus I have struggled with the same issue for
years. I used to browse among sunglasses for their generally wider
frames, and then have clear prescription lenses made for them. But
larger frames are becoming more broadly available and I no longer have
to shop for shades to get glasses that fit.

I bought my last two pairs of glasses at Zenni. My pupillary distance
is so wide that they decided it must have been a mistake and canceled
my first order.

I used frame #3161 for my regular glasses

and frame #2227 for my sunglasses

Both of the above fit nicely-- at least as well as any glasses I
bought by trying then on in person.

These frames are huge:

I'd have tried them, but I know that my strong prescription would
yield appallingly thick lenses in such large frames.

Note that the temple length is dependent upon the amount of setback or
"wrap" in the frames. Frames that are essentially flat across the
front will require longer temples than ones that curve around. So you
may not need as long a temple as you think, depending on the frame you
choose.
