You mean like running a package installation from inside an application?
Never seen something like this. Some applications, though, present a
popup asking for a specific package.

Just installing one theme for every possible desktop isn't an option, as
these themes usually depend on a lot of desktop specific stuff, so you'd
end up with installing all the desktops as dependencies.
