Oscar Lobo is splitting hair. The translation in English may have been given by
the director and screeplay writer himself. Laxmikant knows his Konkani and his
English. The translation as it stands conveys the meaning. Oscar, no point in
demeaning Goans as Konkani transliteration is difficult. So is the case with
many Indian regional languages.
