Yes, writing a Gobo core in a neutral lang, anyone could write a GUI
(or UI) tool for system maintenance for any environment (GTK, QT,
GNUStep ...).
Actually i' writing a lua module to give facilities for Gobo scripting
in lua (iterators over packages, navigate under a tgzed package,
etc...).
