For me, there's a third answer:
3. I just need the beneventan neumes for special melodic passages where
the square notation isn't properly returned. In this case the best for
me should be having the possibility to add on a single place the
reference line and neumes for the beneventan notation (Elie, see one of
the pdf I sent you).

Well, I not 100% sure I understand what you mean... Let me precise the two answers I gave:

1. you need just the shape of the neume, with approximative height

2. you need the very precise height of the neume, as if it was on a score

I think this is the main difference. I believe you would be in the first case right? In the first case it's perfectly feasible to add a beneventan neume only above a certain square neume...

Following what I wrote above: I think I'll never use Beneventan writing
as an independent staff.

Ok. Would someone use it?
