I disagree, for me the spaces should be automatically added by TeX if you want them, having them in the gabc makes someone wishing to reuse your gabc have to remove the spaces... So, to sum up: - with spaces in gabc: * other people cannot use your gabc if they don't want to add these spaces * you still have to use the automatic spaces in your TeX file for the text outside the score - with no space in gabc * you just use the same spacing as your main TeX file (which can use them or not according to the style you want) * other people can reuse your gabc file So, I really see 0 reason to add the spaces in the gabc file... unless I miss something?
