I just searched my email archives, and the only other email that I have from
you (besides this one) is the email you sent to Peter and myself accusing us
of favoring GfW over Snarl. You conceded that you were in fact not correct.
I don't remember any other contact from you guys at all. Peter doesn't and
he's been on the project for years. I'll ask Rudy who has been on since
2004.

Let me be clear here. We're not interested in supporting both GNTP and SNP.
We've opted for GNTP, because to be honest when we were looking for a new
protocol the GfW guys stepped up and I didn't hear anything from you guys
about it even though I did try contacting you.

Snarl has been around a very long time, and I appreciate that it's inspired
by our project. That said, it is very inappropriate to essentially come to
us right before release in this manner. At the very least you could have
picked the correct group (development, not discuss).

Like I said before in the email, when I get back to work on the website
(should start next Tuesday) then I want to link to different implementations
and discuss their differences in a way that makes the most sense for end
users. End users don't care if there are 2 or 10 protocols, they just want
it to work. GNTP works for us, so I don't see us changing. If you have a
problem with it, we've all been using the development list as a sort of
official discussion place for the protocol, please bring it up there. I
would appreciate if you did that *after* 1.3 is released though.
