I use Thunderbird, because my son the computer engineer wizard says it
has less problems. Knowing less than nothing, I follow his advice. The
one problem with it for me: when typing a letter, if I try to arrow up
to some previous sentence, that I wrote, sometimes the lines scramble.
So I try to correct mistakes, before I go to a new line. Not sure why
this happens. Otherwise, I like it.

Would you guys write a bit as to why you chose Thunderbird with Window-Eyes as opposed to Outlook for example?
I'm not claiming Outlook is better, it's just one that many use, and I have not been real happy with anything I have tried
but have not tried Thunderbird 3 yet. It isn't the e-mail clients themselves that have frustrated me, but how they interact
with screen readers,.

I use thunderbird regularly, set it so that messages open in a separate
window, can't remember where that is in the options pages now but its
obvious when you find it.
Use f6 to toggle between different panes in Thunderbird, say the tree
view of mailboxes and list view of messages.
Still haven't worked out how you determine the status of a message, that
is if its unread, replied to etc.
Despite all that I reckon that Thunderbird is the best email client for
the PC since sliced bread.

Hi,
you can toggle the message pane with f8. Also, you want classic view
checked under the view menu.
Those are the things I can remember from when I set it up here.
